CYBERSECURITY An ever-escalating cyber security threat impacting economic and technological infrastructure Background of cyber is engineering, computer science(s) and systems engineering DATA SCIENCE, ANALYSIS & ENGINEERING Multifaceted new concepts and technologies INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY A multidisciplinary innovative approach required to address cyber attacks using new concepts/talent TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTION technical skills to pursue innovative solutions Partner with government and Out-research to K-12, and undergraduate and graduate research to provide a pipeline of domestic talent to fight cyber threats

8 CYBER SECURITY INTRODUCTION
Tuskegee University is very aware of the ever-escalating cyber security threat, which consumes continually more of our societies resources to counter these threats, and maintain stability of our economic and technological infrastructure The University plays a prominent role in the solution to this national problem by developing talent to help combat this cyber threat through its programs in engineering, computer science and systems engineering GOAL OF TUSKEGEE Tuskegee is considering new concepts and technologies to contribute to the solution RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND TEST BED GOALS Imperative that Tuskegee continues to develop more expertise in engineering, biological, mathematical, computational, and computer science in order to take a multidisciplinary innovative approach to address these cyber attacks using new concepts Concept developed for curriculum in masters degree in cyber security with a certificate completion Developed a secure hackathon environment to extend students cyber skills and prepare for competitions White paper on cyber security written TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTION Provide technical skills to pursue innovative solutions to defend against cyber threats Partner with government and industry to pursue research and education in cyber security Out-research to K-12, and undergraduate and graduate research to provide a pipeline of domestic talent to fight cyber threats

Advertisement, Marketing of MSSE Program Opportunity Application Period Tuskegee Qualifies Candidates Students work at employing Command for summer Students return to Tuskegee for MSSE program NAVSEA reviews candidates, interviews, makes offers, starts security clearance paperwork Students sign graduate service agreement Option to work over holiday breaks (winter, spring, etc) Tuskegee formally accepts selectees to MSSE program Graduate with MSSE, return to Command for work Annual review and signature of MOU
