Technology has enabled cultural products to be produced faster, in larger numbers, and for a much greater market than ever before. Consider the DVD markets in China. These days people all over China can watch American movies for 6RMB even before the movies are seen in the USA.

6 TV and the Canadian Identity
Canadians watch American TV It is cheaper to buy American TV shows than to make Canadian shows Canadian TV stations lose $ and have less $ to produce Canadian TV programs Canadians may begin to adopt American values and attitudes.

7 Anti-American sentiment and the Canadian Identity
Canadians are similar to Americans in many ways but… There are differences between Canadians and Americans and… Many Canadians feel these differences are an important part of their identity.
