12 Live Your Feminine Genius Resiliency: Shake it off!
A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the mule “braying” – or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead he called his neighbors together & told them what happened & enlisted their help in hauling dirt to bury the old mule in the well & put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical! As the farmer & neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back, a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back, HE SHOULD SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP! He did this, blow after blow. SHAKE IT OFF & STEP UP—he repeated to himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought panic; SHAKING IT OFF & STEPPING UP.

13 RESILIENCY: Mark of a Leader
FORGIVENESS FAITH PRAYER PRAISE COURAGE HOPE These are all excellent ways to shake it off & step up, out of the wells in which we find ourselves. Let us pray for resiliency. It wasn’t long before the mule, battered, and exhausted, STEPPED TRIUMPHANTLY OVER THE WALL OF THE WELL. What seemed like it would bury him, actually blessed him. All because of the manner in which he handled his adversity. That is the lesson of life. If we face our problems & respond to them positively, & refuse to give into panic, bitterness or self- pity … THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT & BLESS US!

14 Magnificat & Spiritual Warfare Keep Your Spiritual Armor On
Ordinary Demonic Tactics: Deception, Diversion, Discouragement, Division Ephesians 6: 11-17: (NIV) 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

15 Magnificat & Spiritual Warfare Five Things to Know
4. We are not alone: God is with us as we endure trials. We are more than conquerors in Christ (Romans 8:37). 5. Prayer, sacraments, fasting, sacramentals & scripture are effective means of remaining closely united to God & resisting temptation, which is the most common tactic of the devil in Spiritual Warfare. PS: The Magnificat prayer is used in Deliverance/Exorcism & does great violence to the evil one. 1. Spiritual warfare refers to the daily battle between good & evil. 2. Jesus won victory over Satan, but our battle is not over. Satan is defeated but not destroyed. He is angry with the Woman & makes war on her offspring (CCC 2853). 3. Satan’s power is not infinite like God’s. He may cause spiritual injury but only as permitted by God (CCC 395).
