Opening Task: List 3 nouns that represent who you are. Ex. Student, son, daughter, etc. Adjectives – List 3 adjectives that represent who you are. Ex. Smart, caring, curious, etc.

3 Proper vs. Common A proper noun or adjective is a proper name—it designates a particular person, place, or thing. A common noun or adjective, in contrast, is a generic label—it designates a general type of person, place, or thing.

5 Pair Work - Poster Contest
Create a poster that clearly explains the rules of capitalizing proper nouns. It should identify a noun and explain the difference between a common and proper noun. Make sure that your work is neat and easy to understand. Be prepared to share your work with the class.
