1 ABB Low Voltage Service presents
Hello, welcome to ABB‘s webinar about retrofitting kits. Low Voltage Service ABB Low Voltage Service presents Life Cycle Management

2 EPPC LCM Introduction What is Life Cycle Management?
“Product Life Cycle Management or LCM is a term used for the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacture to service. LCM is a set of capabilities that enable an enterprise to effectively and efficiently innovate and manage its products and related services throughout the entire business lifecycle. All companies need to manage communications and information with its customers and its suppliers and the resources within the enterprise. In addition, manufacturing engineering companies must also develop, describe, manage and communicate information about their products LCM.”

3 EPPC LCM The concept Life Cycle Management
For ABB EPPCproducts, the Life Cycle Management policy is divided into 4 phases. During the Active phase, products undergo standard development, production and sale. During the Classic phase, the products and equipment are no sold actively. However ABB continues to maintain them as part of the service commitments to our users. Products, accessories and services are still available for existing installations, even though prices of these parts may increase due to higher production costs. In the Limited phase, the products are being phased out. Some equipment and components can be produced if the materials are still available. There will be no further development to replace obsolete components. Once the product is declared Obsolete, products and components are no longer manufactured and ABB cannot guarantee availability of parts and technical support within reasonable costs. In these situations, retrofitting solutions are often the most cost efficient and feasible. time Active  Normal production, sales and development phase Classic  Product maintenance phase Limited  Limited production and guaranteed availability of spares Obsolete  Reduced availability of components and supports

Founded in 1918, ABB SACE has grown to become a market leader in low voltage circuit breakers. This slide shows the circuit breakers, both MCCB and ACB, that we have delivered to the market. As we continue to innovate to meet new requirements, the older products need to be phased out; this is managed in a systematic manner, which ensures predictable after-sales support for our existing customers and a smooth transition to newer equipment. This is governed by a Life Cycle Management policy. Modul 1970 Limitor 1980 Isomax 1993
