How did the Compromise of 1850 make it easier for southern states to recover fugitive slaves?
How did the Kansas-Nebraska Act affect the expansion of slavery?
What caused Texas to secede from the Union?  What were the consequences of this action?  (There were a total of eleven states to secede from the Union.)

North = Free (except MO)
South = Slave

CA = Free
Other territories could decide if they wanted to be a slave or free state by popular sovereignty.
