Human innovation that involves the generation of knowledge and processes to develop systems that solve problems and extend human capabilities.

5. ENGINEERING
Engineering involves the knowledge of mathematical and natural sciences gained by study, experiences, and practices that are aligned with judgment and creativity to develop ways to utilize materials and forces of nature.

6. SCIENCE
Science is the study of the natural world through observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation.

Weighing the trade-offs to determine if technology is feasible refers to impacts of technology.
