3 VISION & MISSION OF THE UNIVERSITY
NED University of Engineering and Technology believes in establishing environment conducive to continual improvement in its efforts for providing the highest level of quality education. This University is making all out efforts to raise its standards through teaching excellence and quality research. These efforts are carried out with involvement of the entire University work force - To obtain utmost possible satisfaction of its customers. Our endeavors are to make our students useful to society in particular and to humanity in general. In dealings with industry and utilities, attempts are made to maintain standards of integrity as well as quality.

4 MISSION OF TEXTILE DEPARTMENT
To provide a rigorous textile engineering program through teaching and research, and provide a broad-based education so as the graduates may enter globally competitive textile engineering careers. The Department is devoted to advancing textile chemistry, material science and engineering of polymers, fibers, and textiles.

5 MISSION OF THE PROGRAM The mission of NEDUET Textile Engineering Degree Program is to produce professional engineers having comprehensive knowledge and command in design, machinery, processes and management in Textiles by educating them the fundamental concepts and advanced skills.

6 PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)
Solid foundation in Textile engineering that will lead to success in a broad range of career opportunities and graduate education. Ability to successfully apply critical thinking to formulate and address open-ended problems. Effective written, verbal and visual communication skills to disseminate ideas to the team members, customers and interdisciplinary personals.

7 PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)
Awareness of moral, ethical, legal and professional obligations to protect environment and human life. Ability to work in team environment for the development/ maintenance of modern infrastructure. Capability to contribute to society through participation in policy making and good governance.

8 PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME (PLO)
Engineering Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. Problem Analysis: An ability to identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences. Design/Development of Solutions: An ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations

9 PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME (PLO)
Investigation: An ability to investigate complex engineering problems in a methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments, analysis and interpretation of experimental data, and synthesis of information to derive valid conclusions. Modern Tool Usage: An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations. The Engineer and Society: An ability to apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice and solution to complex engineering problems.

10 PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME (PLO)
Environment and Sustainability: An ability to understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice. Individual and Team Work: An ability to work effectively, as an individual or in a team, on multifaceted and /or multidisciplinary settings.

11 PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME (PLO)
Communication: An ability to communicate effectively, orally as well as in writing, on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions. Project Management: An ability to demonstrate management skills and apply engineering principles to one’s own work, as a member and/or leader in a team, to manage projects in a multidisciplinary environment. Lifelong Learning: Ability to recognize importance of, and pursue lifelong learning in the broader context of innovation and technological developments.
