New huge Dreadnoughts are built. Britain’s naval supremacy is threatened by Germany. An arms race begins. The Anglo-Japanese naval alliance is signed. The First Moroccan Crisis of 1906 The Kaiser visits Morocco and guarantees it’s independence. Germany is forced to back down at Algeciras meeting. France feels threatened and insulted by Germany. Germany is humiliated by having to back down. The Kaiser is looking for influence in Africa. The Turkish empire is losing influence and power. France wants Morocco as an African colony.

The Balkan Wars of Turkish influence is Europe is collapsing. Growth of Balkan nationalism. Austria-Hungary feels insecure on southern borders. War breaks out between the Balkan League and Turkey. League wins. Treaty of Bucharest ends the war. Serbia feels betrayed. The end of Turkish influence in Europe. Germany senses British weakness. Russia fails Serbia again. A/H feels threatened.
