2 Evangelism/Teaching Is Hard Enough
Simply sharing the gospel is very difficult as many are offended by the tenets of Christianity: Telling people that Jesus is THE Savior of the world. Telling people that they (we) are lost without Jesus. Hatred, let alone rejection keeps us from sharing a message that is to bring “Good News”! Difficulty even among believers who have opposing views about a given matter.

3 Apologetics… (from Greek ἀπολογία, "speaking in defense") is the discipline of defending a position (often religious) through the systematic use of information. Early Christian writers (c. 120–220) who defended their faith against critics and recommended their faith to outsiders were called apologists.

10 Christianity is Based On…
Faith that Jesus is THE CHRIST. 1 Jn. 5:1 He died for our sins. Rom. 4:25 He was raised from the dead. 1 Cor. 15:4 That we have the hope of eternal life with God through Jesus. Tit. 1:2 That we “sanctify Him as Lord in our hearts” and “are ready to give a defense to everyone who asks (us) a reason for the hope that is within (us).”

11 Our Goal is Not to Prove Anything
It is NOT to prove the existence of God. Cp. Gen. 1:1; Acts 17:16, 22-30 It is NOT to prove the Bible to be authentic or accurate. Cp. 2 Tim. 3:14-16 It is NOT to prove that Jesus is the Christ. All these and more are accepted by faith to those who seek God and His offer for salvation. Heb. 11:1ff

12 Our Goal Is Defend Jesus as Our Lord
Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. 1 Peter 3:13-17
