2 Comparing Armies Using pages 347 and 351 create a Venn diagram in your Social Studies notebook and compare and contrast the Continental Army and the British Army. What resources did they have? How many people? What did they wear? What kinds of soldiers did these armies have? This could be used for the debate project

3 Winter at Valley Forge George Washington chose this place so he could keep a good eye on the British Congress did not have money to spend on supplies, so the soldiers were freezing and only attempted to be warm from the clothes that they had at home  Most clothes were torn or burned from previous battles. Franklin was in France trying to make an agreement with the French government about borrowing supplies and soldiers. The French agreed to help secretly, because they wanted to see their old enemy (Britain) be defeated When the Americans won the Battle of Saratoga, the French agreed to help Americans, and this time, it was no secret.
