Introduction Thanks for inviting us to update you on the HPHC resources The HPHC provincial online and print products have been developed for expectant parents and parents of children from birth to 6th birthday. These products have been available since June 24. June 6, 2013

4 Project Goal To develop, implement and evaluate standardized provincial products for expectant parents, parents of children from birth to 6 years old, and healthcare professionals in Alberta. Project Goal The goal of this project is to develop, implement and evaluate standardized provincial products for expectant parents, parents of children from birth to six years old, and healthcare professionals across the province of Alberta. The work that was done to produce these provincial products was done collaboratively with all 5 Zones, provincial programs and primary care providers across Alberta. June 6, 2013

6 Distribution Process Two cards will be distributed, to represent two processes serving different populations: Redemption Card- Expectant families Promotional Card- Parents with children from birth to six years old The provincial dissemination process begins with the distribution of two separate cards that represent two processes that serve two populations Redemption card which will be distributed to expectant families by primary care providers and midwives Promotional card which will be given to parents with children from birth to six years old – CHC, pediatricians, CPC, libraries and programs that connect with young families June 6, 2013

7 Card #1 Redemption Card Target audience- Expectant Parent Cohort
Card #1- is the Redemption Card 65,000 redemption cards have been distributed to primary care providers and midwives June 6, 2013

8 Card #2 Promotional Card
Target Audience- Parents with children birth to six years old Promotional Card 177,000 promotional cards have been distributed to CHC, libraries, programs that connect with our target audience. June 6, 2013

5578 visits over the past month 61% new visits 59% accessing from a mobile device IE 6 and IE7 browser challenges Web developer is creating another main page for the site that will pick up when these older browser versions are used. This will allow the user to access the site, however, the experience will not be the same. June 6, 2013

10 Distribution Points 29,000 books have been distributed:
All Community/public Health centres in the province Programs that support vulnerable populations 340 provincial libraries

11 Physician awareness Letters sent in June to introduced to the resource
Fax sent to physician offices in November Article submitted to AMA and CPSA highlighting the resources 4330 letters to physicians provincially (GP’s and obstetricians) 400 paediatricians 1303 clinics faxed: to Office Managers of clinics 129 Paediatrician offices faxed June 6, 2013
