2 In this New Sermon Series,
we will be exploring "the full armor of God" that is described in Ephesians 6, why each piece is needed, and how to better live a victorious Christian life in a world full of darkness.

5 “We have enemies to fight against, a captain to fight for,
a banner to fight under, and certain rules of war by which we are to govern ourselves.” - Matthew Henry

6 Jesus called Satan the “prince of this world”, referring
to the demonic stronghold of power that he and his minions currently have through power, influence, greed, and money.

7 Come near to God and He will come near
James 4: 7-8 “Submit yourselves, therefore; to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you.”

8 1 Peter 5: 8-9 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”

9 For the Christian, our “armor” and protection are provided through Jesus:
1.) Isaiah 11: 1-5 2.) Isaiah 59: 16-20 3.) Romans 13: 11-14
