When teaching a foreign language, many textbooks and teachers try to connect learners with English-speaking cultures. 
This is a common approach, but as you will learn, this approach does not prepare your young learners for the 21st century. The problem with this approach is that it creates a separation between local and global. The use of English is connected with English speaking cultures and is not linked to their every day lives.
In Our World, children are exposed to the whole world. This global content is presented in a way that helps children identify themselves as local and global citizens. Let’s watch the video introduction and learn more about it.
