4th Grade Literacy – In Literacy class students will continue to learn comprehension skills and strategies to become better readers. This week students will be able to draw inferences from a story or passage. Students will also work with weekly vocabulary words, as well as, grade level sight words. 
5th Grade Literacy - In Literacy class students will build upon their prior knowledge of comprehension skills and strategies to become better readers. This week students will be able to correctly compare and contrast events and characters from a story. Students will also be able to make inferences or predictions based on their prior knowledge.

We will be continuing our work on writing letters. We will write a letter to our favorite author, TV star, movie star, singer, etc.

We are continuing our study on Inference and Drawing Conclusions. We will look at Non-Fiction writing and drawing out the differences between the Non-Fiction and Fiction.
