4 HISTORY THE PERIOD SAW POWER COME INTO THE HANDS OF MODERATE REPUBLICANS AND FORMER RADICALS. FRANCE WAS ALLIED WITH RUSSIA AND SERBIA IN FIRST WORLD WAR IN 1914. FRANCE REQUIRED GERMANY TO PAY HUGE AMOUNTS IN FOOD AND MONEY. IN TURN,GERMANY GREW RESENTFUL OF FRANCE AND ULTIMATELY THIS LED TO WWII. ENTENTE POWER CONSISTED OF FRANCE,ENGLAND AND RUSSIA.

5 HISTORY THE LONG TERM RESULTS WERE THAT FRANCE LACKED SUFFICIENT MANPOWER TO ENGAGE IN A FULL FRONTAL WAR WITH THE GERMANS WHEN THEY INVADED IN WWII. THAT IS WHY THEY HAD TO TURN TO A GUERILLA WARFARE MODEL IN WWII IN WWII IN NOVEMBER 1942,GERMANY FINALLY OCCUPIED FRANCE,WHICH WAS LIBERATED BY ALLIED COUNTRIES IN 1944.
