3 Getting Ready Please pick up a card from the front of the room to correspond with the following edTPA roles: Faculty member working with edTPA candidates - Pink Scorer of edTPA Blue EPP working with data Purple Supervisor working with edTPA candidates - Yellow School districts/cooperating teachers - Green Candidates White

6 Group Work In your small group, please list 3 – 5 ways that the edTPA has been educative for your group.

7 Carousel As a group, please go to a poster that is not your group. You will skip your group as you’ve already provided that information. As you rotate through the stations, please list a few ways that the edTPA should be educative for that group. Use the marker corresponding to your group color.

8 Faculty Reflect and revise program work and individual classes
Data illustrate if teaching is working Showing where gaps are in candidate preparation

9 Scorer Know what to tell candidates Language to use
Information about the scoring process (can only look at one task at a time)

10 EPP Providing data to allow to assess program
Forced conversations across campus Consistency among common sections (everyone video tapes, etc.)

Provide communication among candidate, cooperating teacher, and faculty

12 School Districts/Cooperating Teachers
Slowly discovering it can be a useful tool for hiring Examining their own practices

Videotape – get an opportunity to see themselves teach Academic language – they see how they may be (mis)understood
