4. 4 5-Year Goals & Status Development of a plan, and its initial implementation, for closed-loop control of the image quality delivered by the telescope to the instruments. The goal is to be limited only by the natural seeing at any time for non- AO instruments. Implement procedures for evaluating and monitoring image quality, and instrument throughput. –MAGIQ autofocus on LRIS & NIRSPEC being implemented –Extend to other instruments (e.g., MOSFIRE, & HIRES)
