Since its inception the Cables Division of R&M has evolved to be a broad ‘centre of excellence’ for the supply of electrical, instrumentation, telecom and data cables to suit a vast range of environmental and climatic conditions. The knowledge base held at our Cables division as well as the support of a broad range of £1Million + stock often means we have the precise supply solution for the varied market we serve. The Assembly Division within the R&M Electrical Group is dedicated to the assembly and modification of Enclosures and Control Stations destined for use in EExe [ia] hazardous and industrial areas. R&M from stock can now assemble, drill and modify Terminal, Junction Boxes and control stations to meet your specific requirements. As a testimony to our quality and service we have modified and assembled enclosures for installation around the world for Rolls Royce. Exxon/Mobil, Melrose PLC and BP with qualified and experienced engineers working to the exacting tolerances and standards demanded by such well known companies. From our international marine division based in Southampton England, R&M has built up an excellent relationship with the super yacht industry and with smaller yachting companies and associated individuals. With our recent further expansion into the REFIT ALLIANCE MEDITERRANEAN venture on the island of Palma de Mallorca this has enabled us to set up a central Mediterranean base where we hold further on- site stock to enhance our services within Europe. The Lighting Division of R&M Electrical Group offers a “one stop” resource for all of your lighting projects. From large complex lighting systems through to small commercial lighting contracts R&M Electrical offers a holistic service covering consultancy, lighting scheme design, product specification and procurement to meet the requirements of any new construction or refurbishment project. Ben Dewey Lighting Division Manager Ben has been with R&M since 2009 and originally joined to develop lighting distribution in our Oxford Branch having worked in the electrical and lighting industry for over 10 years. Realising his vocation was more aptly suited to Lighting Design, Ben is now fully qualified under the LIA (Lighting Industry Association) Certification scheme and is a Member of the Society of Light & Lighting (MSLL). The R&M Hazardous Area EX Division supply Hazardous Area and Industrial Equipment to the Oil, Gas, Petro-Chemical and Pharmaceutical Markets. With a large stock holding of hazardous area electrical equipment, R&M has over 30 years experience in the supply of the world’s foremost manufacturers in this area, including Cooper Crouse-Hinds (CEAG), Hawke Cable Glands, Weidmuller, R Stahl, Legrand ATX,, Chalmit, Roxtec, MEDC. Based in Atyrau and supported by the UK Exports division, R&M Electrical Group LLP is a fully registered Kazakhstan company capable of servicing both DDP and global FCA business. The R&M Group has been trading in Kazakhstan since 1996 with the Atyrau office being open in the region for the last 5 years. The branch was officially re- registered as an LLP company in 2011, enabling R&M to meet the local content requirements more effectively. Iraq awarded an $843 million contract to Weatherford International Ltd. (WFT) to install six power generation plants at the Zubair oil field in the south of the country. The plants will take 18 months to install. Zubair produces about 200,000 barrels a day, the group led by Eni SpA (ENI) won a contract in 2010 to boost output at Zubair to 1.2 million barrels a day within six years and maintain that level for an additional seven years. 42 Project Case Study - KBR Chevron Gorgon Project, Australia
The 54 Billion Gorgon Project is developing the Gorgon and Jansz-Io gas fields, located within the Greater Gorgon area, between 130 and 220 kilometres off the northwest coast of Western Australia. It includes the construction of a 15.6 million tonne per annum (MTPA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island and a domestic gas plant with the capacity to supply 300 terajoules of gas per day to Western Australia. The Gorgon Project is operated by Chevron. It is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (approximately 47.3 percent), ExxonMobil (25 percent), Shell (25 percent), Osaka Gas (1.25 percent), Tokyo Gas (1 percent) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 percent). Around $28 billion capital investment will be required to produce the gas and transport it to the Georgia-Turkey border. From there additional pipeline systems are planned to deliver 6 bcma of gas to Turkey and a further 10 bcma of gas to markets in Europe. Opened in 1964, the refinery is one of the largest, most complex refineries in Western Europe. About 44 percent of Pembroke’s products are gasolines, including ultra-low sulphur gasoline, and about 40 percent of products are distillates. Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field located about 100km east of Baku is the largest oilfield in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian basin ACG is a complex of six production platforms: Chirag 1, Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri, Deepwater Gunashli, West Chirag; and two process, gas compression, water injection and utilities (PCWU) and COP platforms. Sangachal is one of the biggest and most efficient terminals in the world, which can receive and process up to 1.2 million barrels of oil per day. ACG has achieved more than 3 Million barrels of oil production since first oil. ACG is operated by BP under a PSA agreement signed in 1994.
