Learning Progressions
Time: 1 minute Presenter: Steph What they are: Learning Progressions are provided within each unit map to explicitly define what students need to know and be able to do to attain proficiency related to the grade level learning intentions. How they support teachers: These progressions provide a resource for teachers to define bulling blocks aligned with content that students need to be successful. They guide instruction, intervention, and enrichment. Impact on student learning: Learning progressions support students ownership through explicitly defining key learning milestones on the path to proficiency. ?? One this slide, we see a learning progression related to Chemical Reactions which defines building blocks related to prepare students to meet proficiency with defining how chemical reactions impact the properties of a substance.

Differentiation – Instructional Delivery
Time: 1 minute Presenter: Steph What they are: Differentiation Supports are indicated within all components of the curriculum using icons, called tags(as direct visuals) to indicate the type of differentiated support. 21st century (profile of a graduate) (you see the ribbon icon) Blended Learning ( tech integration and Schoology resources) Differentiated instruction English Language Learning Supports Enrichments Accommodations How they support teachers: These exemplars indicate instructional supports that reinforce the 21st century skills related to the profile of a graduate, blended learning, and differentiated supports to ensure all students are successful. Impact on Students: Ensure equitable access to the content for all kids. These tags appear throughout the unit notebook. On this slide, you see the standard along with specific learning intentions and success criteria along with products, performances, and processes that a student would engage in to show proficiency.

Campus Support Walks Purpose
Develop a partnership between campus leaders, teachers, and central office leaders to support campus leaders & teachers Develop a common language Identify Focus CST Walk & Debrief Support Feedback & Follow up Time: 30 seconds Presenter: Steph Materials in Schoology: CST overview document, planning documents, CST walk tool Focus – purpose, process, SAY: WHAT? Campus Support Teams are learning communities that comprise leaders from all central office departments designed to conduct monthly walk throughs in collaboration with campus leadership teams for the purpose of providing feedback and identifying ongoing supports to promote the effective implementation of the district curriculum. SAY: WHY? CST’s were chosen to promote a partnership between campus level leaders, teachers, and central office leaders. This partnership will help to establish a support team that comes together to gauge implementation of the curriculum along a continuum of practice. Data collected during the CST walks can be used to identify focus areas for professional learning, job embedded supports, and to celebrate successful instructional practices. SAY: HOW? Many forms of instructional walks exist in education from learning walks to instructional rounds, to evaluation systems like T-TESS. Campus Support Teams takes the best practices from each and places a focus on identifying levels of implementation and corresponding supports to shift practice using a collaborative team. You may need to give an example here of …….. Former walks provided data and feedback but left the strategies for improvement solely on the campus or campus leaders to provide. CST”s allow for a team based approach to sustaining and instructional focus aligned to district priorities. Look at the CST Team assigned to your campus. This team will engage in an Instructional Walk with identified leaders on your campus each month from September to March.
