Open Microsoft Word Step 2: Microsoft Word will open up automatically into a new document ready for you to start typing Type - The Preamble of the United States Constitution. We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. 11/6/2018 Mrs. Wallace - 5th Grade Computer Class

Save the Word Document Step 1: Click File in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Save the Word Document Step 3: A ‘Save’ dialogue box will come up. At the top and at the left-hand side in the list of folder options, it will show the folder where you’ll be saving the document. If you wish to change this folder, navigate through the folders on the left-hand side of the dialogue box to choose the one where you want to save your document. 11/6/2018 Mrs. Wallace - 5th Grade Computer Class

Save the Word Document Step 4: Word will automatically give your document a name, based on the first few words of your text. If you don’t like the one given, type a name for your document in the ‘File name’ box.
