Shutting down PCs at night can save a company with 10,000 PCs over $260,000 a year (and 1,871 tons of carbon dioxide emissions)!! If the world's 1 billion PCs were powered down just one night, it would save enough energy to light the Empire State Building - inside and out - for over 30 years!

In the summer months, the air conditioner's thermostat should not be set any lower than 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Likewise, the settings should not be any higher than 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter.

GSU recycles cardboard, plain, color, magazines, newspapers, phone books, books, as well as drink containers like bottles and cans, and wooden pallets

During the 2007-2008 academic year, the campus recycled 320 tons of paper and 6 tons of cans and bottles.
