1 2004 YCCC Raffle Rev 6

2 Why? Increase meeting attendance
Create fund to sponsor Dxpeditions for a youth or newly licensed ham Create youth college scholarship fund 50% of money collected to go to scholarships or trip sponsorship Encourage new and youth interest in contesting

3 Dxpeditions Sponsor youth(s) and/or newly licensed on a Dxpediton for fall 2004 CQWW Pay airfare (economy), lodging, and a $150 stipend for up to a week at a Caribbean SSB DX Multi-Multi or Multi-2 location, up to $1500 AND/OR Pay airfare (economy), lodging, and a $150 stipend for up to a week at ANY CW DX Multi-Multi or Multi-2 location, up to $1750

4 Dxpeditions (cont.) Score must go to YCCC
Youth must have written parental permission included in application There must be at least one other YCCC member on the trip who will act as mentor Youth must sign waiver First trip priority to youth Awardee chooses the trip, but must be approved by YCCC Board

5 Trip Qualifications Must reside within 175 miles of club center
Must hold General class license or higher Youth must be under 21 at the time of the trip Newly licensed must be licensed less than one year at the time of the trip Limit of one trip per person

6 Scholarship Qualifications
Student must be attending full time accredited college during Student must be enrolled in 4 or 2 year undergraduate program Student must reside or attend college within 175 miles of club center Must hold General class license or higher Student must have passing grade

7 Scholarship and Trip Selection
Nominations will be open until July 31, 2004 Decision will be made by YCCC Board Decision will be announced by August 30, 2004

8 2004 Raffle Rules Raffle opens at the February meeting
Minimum 200 tickets must be sold Maximum 500 tickets will be sold Raffle closes at 2PM of the April meeting or when all 500 tickets are sold Drawing at 3PM of April meeting If minimum number not sold, drawing will be at next meeting after the minimum is sold One prize per ticket

9 2004 Raffle Rules (cont.) Major/Grand prize winners need not be present, but must pay shipping costs or arrange pickup Open to any current YCCC member, non-member surcharge of $5 per ticket Tickets are $25 each, no limit Disputes handled by decision of YCCC Board and is final Prizes drawn in reverse value order (i.e. Orion first) Taxes, fees, etc. responsibility of winner No exchanges or cash equivalents

10 How to Purchase Tickets will be available at the February and April meetings Cash or check at a meeting

11 Prize Levels Must sell at least 200 tickets
Minimum distribution includes: Grand Prize One Dxpedition Second Place Prize Third Place Prize Consolation Prizes
