NC FUSION - GUSA Program Description and Playing Levels Elite Academy The Elite Academy is a program for 9U and 10U boys and girls that have the highest level of commitment and ability in their age groups. Elite Academy teams will train as a team three days per week in both the fall and the spring seasons. Elite Academy teams are coached by full time Academy staff coaches and will play games within the Junior Academy with both in house games as well as against other Junior Academy clubs, as well as Tournament and Festival play throughout the year. At the 10U Elite Academy Level, the Academy Director may choose to have the team “play up” at the 11U Classic level in the spring season. Those decisions will be made in order to ensure that the players are being developed to their fullest potential. Travel at this level is very limited. NC FUSION - GUSA TOPSoccer
TOPSoccer is an outreach program for children with a disability. We offer adapted game and activities that expose each child to soccer in a format that is supportive and tailored to each player. Volunteer coaches organize games and activities that are modified for each player by their buddy. Buddies work with each player to encourage movement and soccer skills in a group setting. A wide variety of abilities can participate and children can be ages 3 or older. Our program uses an indoor turf field and many local volunteers to make each season successful. There are two seasons of TOPSoccer and players can participate in both or either one separately. Each season has 6 play dates. The fall season runs on six Sundays from mid September through late October. The winter season runs on six Sundays from February to March.
