15 Emergency Services Through The VA
Emergency Care is never guaranteed to paid for by the VA. If you need emergent care for chest pain, shortness of breath, etc. DON’T HESITATE GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM If the Veteran is in the clinic and needs to be transferred to the emergency room an ED consult will be placed for this service. This is still not a guarantee of coverage. All claims are reviewed at the VA and determination of coverage is based on life threatening circumstances and emergent need. Notification to the Fargo VA or to our clinic of the ER visit to document in the chart is helpful in determining coverage.
