1 Drupal Basics Part 2 Everyday Tasks Editing a page Toolbar basics Add a hyperlink Using the theme Agricultural Communications Services Integrated Media Training Sessions www.ca.uky.edu/agcomm/

2 Veterinary page: Click on the word Veterinary, its linked to the page. Click the edit tab Editing a page Toolbar Basics slide 1

3 Begin making changes in the body area. Highlight text to link it Highlight text to change the style, size of type and position. Click on SAVE and you will see the changes.

4 This is the same process for all the titles in the blocks. Each title is linked to its page. You can also access all the pages by clicking on the top black tabs/dropdowns Basic toolbar has options for formatting the text, adding links and photos. Next is the toolbar basics:

5 The editing region has type added. The type can be styled by highlighting it and selecting an option. Bold/italic center, left, right, indent bullet/numbered lists link, anchor, type color, add line Toolbar Basics slide 2 Toolbar

7 Toolbar Tips: Hyperlink Text To link a document (Word, PDF) Highlight the text you want to link. Notice the link icons become visible. Click on the link icon Toolbar Basics: Hyperlink Text slide 4

8 A new window pops up. This new window is titled insert/edit link Link URL: If you know the url of an existing site or file, add it here. Title This is the text that shows when you hover over the Hyperlink. Click Insert The Link URL is also where you can type in the name of a page already created in Drupal or click on browse if you need to locate it. 9 Clicking on the browse icon will pop up a new window titled file manager On the left, the folder, your site name-files is where your files are stored when uploaded to the server. These are files currently stored on the server. They have already been uploaded and ready to be linked. Select the box next to the file or double click the file name to insert it into the link box. Notice the link URL box now has the file url added. Click on the button insert Toolbar Basics: Hyperlink Text slide 6
