14 1.14 The Ten Commandments Exodus 20:1-17 1. Don’t have other gods 2. Don’t worship idols 3. Don’t take God’s name in vain 4. Remember the Sabbath The focus of these four is GOD and how we are to love … him.

15 1.15 The Ten Commandments Exodus 20:1-17 5. Honor parents 6. Don’t murder 7. Don’t commit adultery 8. Don’t steal 9. Don’t be a false witness 10. Don’t covet The focus of these six is OTHERS and how we are to love … them.

16 1.16 The Great Commandment Matthew 22:37- 40 “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

23 1.23 Servant Profile: SPIRITUAL GIFTS 1. Spiritual Gifts are God-given 2. There are no right or wrong Spiritual Gifts 3. Spiritual Gifts answers the “WHAT” question

24 1.24 Spiritual Gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit and distributed to every believer according to God’s design and grace for the common good of the body of Christ.

30 1.30 1 Corinthians 12 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given. (v. 7) He gives them to each one, just as he determines. (v. 11) God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. (v. 18)

31 1.31 Uniqueness, Unity, and Diversity Our Spiritual Gifts are given by design and make us unique.
