Migration and Consolidation
FUNCTIONS PLATFORMS PHYSICAL I VIRTUAL I CLOUD CAPABILITIES AND BENEFITS Migrate, consolidate and restructure data and systems with ZeroImpact to the business Supports complex migrations to accommodate a wide range of business needs for any migration scenario True coexistence ensures employees can communicate and collaborate during the migration Global reach, vast partner ecosystem Identity Management Performance Monitoring Data Protection I’d like to provide an overview of Quest’s migration and consolidation solution before we move into a detailed discussion of the Quest Migration Manager for Active Directory Services Approach. In general, Migrations & Consolidations are difficult and fraught with risk. It’s a fact, your enterprise and applications are mission critical. If they go offline, everyone knows, the business suffers and you don’t want the fingers pointed in your direction. For this type of project, you need a solution provider you can trust to mitigate the risks and ensure your project completes on time and on budget with ZeroImpact to you organization. Simply put - you need a provider to simplify the process. Quest is that provider. If you add up the populations of the 75 most populous cities in the US, it’s just over 55,000,000 people. That’s how many users we’ve migrated in the past decade. That speaks to our experience. We’ve been there and we’ve done that. What’s made us successful? Simple; we have global reach, award-winning 24x7 support in a variety of languages and highly skilled consultants with a wide range of experience that you can depend on to facilitate the fastest time to value and the maximum ROI. It doesn’t matter if you are moving to the latest version of Active Directory, Exchange or SharePoint or replicating Oracle data. It doesn’t matter if you are migrating from GroupWise , or Notes and applications to Exchange and SharePoint. It doesn’t matter if you are migrating to an on-premise version of the Microsoft technology or the cloud-based Office Quest is the only provider that offers products that can analyze the source system, assess the impact of a proposed migration, enable coexistence during the migration, and restructure and perform clean up after the migration. What’s more, Quest’s Professional Services team has the skill and experience to simplify the entire process and ensure success. Could the likes of GlaxoSmithKline, Queensland Health, and the States of Georgia and Michigan be wrong? Or how about Coca Cola Bottling who reduced their Notes migration time by 33%, finishing the project two months ahead of schedule. When Volvo IT needed to migrate a critical SAP system to a new hardware platform, they used SharePlex for Oracle to reduce downtime by 90%. These are just some our successes in the commercial and public sector and from regions like North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Development PRODUCTS Migration Administration

Customer Quotes “We knew our migration was never going to be completely straightforward. But the automated nature of the Quest migration solution and the expertise brought to the project by the PSO team ensured that our new Exchange and Active Directory environment was in place before the start of the new academic year. We experienced no data loss and the migration had minimal impact on the staff and students.” “Quest’s PSO has been invaluable to work with, especially since the project was not without its challenges. The PSO consultants provided us with sound advice on the best approach to take, which was particularly useful whenever a problem arose.” “We couldn’t have done this without Quest. Both the migration solutions and the individuals from Quest’s PSO team were invaluable to us during this project.”

A.I.M for QMMAD Delivery Outline
- Review and document your current Active Directory environment so we can build a Migration Plan tailored to your needs. Project Initiation Active Directory Assessment Creation of the Migration Plan - Work with your team to install and configure the product in a test environment and fully develop the Migration Plan. Lab Installation of QMMAD Documentation of Migration Process During the Assessment phase of the delivery we have seasoned experts who know exactly what to look for working with your team to review and document your current Active Directory environment and build a Migration Plan that’s tailored to your specific business objectives and technical environment. We kick off the engagement with a Project Initiation Meeting from which a Project Initiation Document is created to identify such things as key stakeholders and contacts, migration requirements and constraints, dependencies and risks and the timeline among other things. For the Active Directory Assessment, we’ll use our Reporter and Spotlight on AD software tools to generate detailed reports about your AD environment Then we use the information from the reports and the Project Initiation Document to work with your team in developing the initial Migration Plan For the Installation phase, Quest Professional Services Consultants will work hand-in-hand with key members of your team to install and configure the product in a test environment and fully develop the Migration Plan based on the events and knowledge gained during the Lab Installation. Finally, we will work with your team to use the Migration Plan and the knowledge gained from the Lab Installation to install the product in a production environment and run a pilot migration – from there we support the management of the entire migration providing knowledge transfer throughout the process and closing with a Project Review Meeting to discuss whether the project goals and objectives have been met. - Work with your team, using the Migration Plan, to install QMMAD in a production environment and run a pilot migration.
