3 British Impressment Impressment- the practice of forcing American sailors to serve in the British Navy Britain needed sailors to fight against the French who were led by Napoleon

Native Americans were angry over American westward expansion Tecumseh- Native American leader who led fight against the Americans Battle of Tippecanoe- American victory over Native American tribes which heightened tensions between US and Native Americans
