Class Assignments: Classwork will be assigned daily and are to be worked on individually or in groups depending on the type of classwork. No makeup classwork will be given under any circumstances.
Class Presentation: During the semester, you will have many opportunities to practice techniques introduced in this course and present your work to your classmates. You will be asked to present you work on the board or projector, explaining each step, and then answering questions other students or I may have. No makeup presentations will be given under any circumstances.

Homework:
I may collect homework or give a homework quiz.
In general, your daily homework will consist of the following:
Read the OLI sections we will cover the next day
Re-read the OLI sections and complete all online exercises (I
view and track your progress in each module)
Complete any unfinished assignments from class
When assigned, submit the completed checkpoint quiz or
quizzes by the given date and time.
I may also assign other exercise not available in OLI. These
assignments will be uploaded to CANVAS. If you are unsure how
to use CANVAS please see me during office hours for help.
NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED

Journals:
One of the requirements of this course is that you will write several journals. Mastering written communication is an integral part of your education. Most work environments require you to effectively communicate in writing.
Journals will be posted on CANVAS along with the due date. You will submit all journals on CANVAS.

Projects:
There will be projects that will be assigned in class, either group or individual. Project dates are not flexible, if you are unable to turn in your assignment on time, you will lose 10% per day that it is late. If you are not there for a presentation, you will lose the percentage of points participation is worth for the given project.

Exams:
You will have a minimum of 4 exams and a cumulative final exam.
Do not miss them! No make-up exams will be given after the exam has taken place. All missed exams will be scored as a zero.
If you are going to be absent on an exam day for a valid reason, make arrangements with me at least two weeks in advance to take the exam early.
I strongly recommend that you keep all exams until you receive your course grade in case you have questions regarding your grade.
Your final can replace your lowest test score.

Attendance:
Regular attendance is excepted.
If you cannot attend regularly, on time, and stay for the entire
class, you should take this class at another time that fits your
schedule.
If you arrive late it is your responsibility to inform me that you
are not absent
If you leave early or do not return from break it will be marked
as half an absence.
You can be DROPPED after two absences.

Go to the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) website: and click Sign Up in the upper right corner.
 Complete all fields in the Sign Up box on the left side of the screen. For Choose Account ID, the field automatically populates with your address. If you wish to change it, you should do so at this time.

On the Confirm Your Account Information page, review the account information you entered. If you wish to make any changes, click the Edit Account button. If your information is correct, click the Confirm Account button.
Read the statements in the Online Consent Form. Since you have already agreed to participate in the study, to be consistent, please select “I Agree”. Selecting “I Do Not Agree” will not allow your data to be included in the study. Then select “Submit”.
You will be presented with your OLI “My Courses” home page. Under "My Courses" enter the course key ­­­_____________________________ and click the GO button.

As a group you will need to decide how you will collect the data from the ENTIRE class
After your group as your data, your group must decide how to best present/display the data for everyone to see and understand.
The group will create a poster for everyone to view your information.
Your group will be responsible for presenting your poster and explaining what information you gathered, what your display shows and explain your choice of display.

After feedback is given groups will revise their presentation/poster according to the feedback given.
