1 How to Read your Audit

2 Throughout this PowerPoint, there
will be blue text that indicates an action. In order to move through this PowerPoint you will need to click on the blue shapes associated with the action of the blue text. However, some pages do not have actions, in that case you will simply click the blue “NEXT” arrow. Click the “NEXT” button to go to the next slide NEXT

3 Your Degree Audit may look a little
intimidating, but it’s much easier to read than you might think! NEXT

4 This chart shows you what the colors on your audit mean.
Planned (purple) courses will only show on your audit if you specifically run an audit with planned courses. NEXT

5 The first requirements you will see on
your audit are university graduation requirements. These are basic graduation requirements that must be met before you can graduate. NEXT

6 The next set of requirements you will see on
your audit are General Education requirements. Each requirement area will show courses you can select from to complete the requirement, and courses currently being used to fill the requirement. NEXT

7 Following your General Education requirements, you will
see your Bachelor Degree Requirements. NEXT

8 After the Bachelor Degree Requirements,
you will see contact information for your major, and following that will be your major requirements for graduation. NEXT

9 Immediately following your requirements,
you will see a few informational sections of your audit. NEXT

10 This will show the courses you are
In Progress Courses This will show the courses you are currently enrolled in. NEXT

11 General Electives NEXT All courses not currently being
used to fill a specific requirement will appear in this section. NEXT

12 Summary of Test Credit and Placement Scores
AP, IB, and CLEP test credit will appear here. ACT, SAT, and ACCUPLACER scores can also be seen here. NEXT

13 Summary of Transfer Credit
All eligible transfer credit that has been received by the U of U Admissions Office will appear in this section. NEXT

14 Summary of Courses Taken at the University of Utah
All the courses you have taken at the University of Utah will appear here. NEXT

15 That’s it!! It might seem like a lot
to take in, but you’ll figure it out in no time! If you need a little extra help, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor at advising.utah.edu FINISH
