3 PowerScale 10-50 kVA Feature highlights Feature Highlights: 25-50 kVA
Highest reliability and increased availability with True on-line double conversion (VFI) UPS – 3ph input / 3ph output Minimizes energy losses with industry top-level double conversion efficiency up to 95.5% Optimized for modern IT loads with rated output power factor 0.9 Low input line disturbances; input PF 100% load – ITHD ≤ 3% Up to 20 units can be connected in parallel for redundancy and/or to increase system capacity “All included” with integrated manual bypass switch No nasty surprises in the event of utility failure – manual and automatic battery tests ensure that battery health is know at all times Ease of servicing and short MTTR ensure cost for downtime – scheduled and unscheduled – is minimized High variety of runtimes can be supported by using cabinet internal batteries only. This makes the system compact and saves installation space. Fit for different installation environments by having both, single or dual input feed, supported. 25-50 kVA 10-25 kVA 10-20 kVA CABINET A CABINET B CABINET C © ABB Group

5 Performance characteristics – High efficiency
PowerScale kVA Performance characteristics – High efficiency Top-of-the-market efficiency saves energy and reduces running costs resulting to lower TCO Having the curve flat means that high efficiency is reached already at low load levels 94.5 – 95.5% though the typical operating range! Note: Chart data applies directly to 10-15kVA models. For other models, results may have small variation. © ABB September 21, 2018

6 Performance characteristics – Low input harmonics
PowerScale kVA Performance characteristics – Low input harmonics Advanced Booster Power Factor Control (PFC) allows for achieving reduced current total harmonic distortion (THDI) and close to unity input power factor even with partial loads. Multiple energy and cost saving benefits follow: No phase compensation filter required UPS respects power grid regulations without additional hardware Generator size can be optimized for the load Smaller cable/fuses/breakers sizes can be applied No extra heating of transformers © ABB September 21, 2018

7 Batteries and runtimes
PowerScale kVA Batteries and runtimes Most commonly required battery runtimes can be supported by using cabinet internal batteries only. This makes the system compact and saves installation space. Standard 12V VRLA batteries are used: CABINET A & B: 7Ah or 9Ah batteries CABINET C: 7Ah, 9Ah or 28Ah batteries Number of battery blocks in a battery string can vary  flexibility to optimize battery configuration to match exactly the runtime requirement and no oversizing is needed. (for details, please see technical specification) Battery tests can be performed manually or automatically in configurable periods. Periodic testing assures that battery health is know and no nasty surprises occur in the event of utility power failure. 8 System installation and wiring
PowerScale kVA 3ph UPS System installation and wiring PowerScale supports both single and dual input feed schemes by standard. The UPS also has readily a maintenance bypass switch (MBS) integrated so no expensive external solution is required. To change from single input to dual input and vice versa is achieved simply by removing electrical links/bridges.
