11 Why is “they lived” a complete sentence?
Summary/Analysis Why is “they lived” a complete sentence? For this activity, we take a sentence “kernel” and expand on it by adding key details that we know, and combining it into one sentence. Example Sentence Kernel: “They lived.” (if we were learning about Americans) Aztec Sentence Kernel: “They lived.” When: Who: What (or with what, or did what): Where: How: HINT: Start with the “When”! Ex: In 2015, President Obama was the president of the United States, a position to which he was elected in 2008.

12 Exit Ticket Compare (similarities AND differences) the Maya & Aztecs in at least two SPICE ways. Challenge: do so in a single sentence: While the Maya & Aztecs both ______, they differed in that they ______. HW: Map Quiz Next Class – Study!!
