Morning Afternoon Tuesday 25/06/13 Geography English Wednesday 26/06/13 Science Art and Design Thursday 27/06/13 Languages Mathematics Friday 28/06/13 RE History Lessons will be suspended for the week. You will be expected to have prepared revision to study when you do not have an exam. When you have entered an exam room, exam conditions apply. Absolute best behaviour and no talking at all times. This will help prepare you for your actual GCSE’s in the future.

History  Build in breaks and other commitments.

4 Preparing to revise Has your brain been fuelled?
Even before we sit down to revise there are a number of factors that we need to get right. Has your brain been fuelled? Lots of water. The brain needs 6-8 glasses a day or 1 litre.

5 Preparing to revise You need to be in the right frame of mind to revise. If you have had a bad day try and de-stress. Exercise Spending some time doing things you like. We learn effectively at different times of the day.

6 Preparing to revise We learn effectively in different places. Make the place you work in separate from the one you relax in. We learn effectively after we have had plenty of sleep. We learn effectively using different time scales. Short bursts or longer followed by breaks.

Organise your time Look for keywords in the questions Move on if you are unsure of a question and go back later Go over answers at the end Leave nothing unanswered

14 A Prayer Before Study Holy Spirit, giver of all good gifts, enter into my mind and heart. Give me the gift of knowledge and the grace to use it wisely. Help me in all my endeavours. Give me perseverance and fortitude. Help my memory, that I may remember what I learn and recall it when necessary. Guide me in the classroom. You, who are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, let me not be deceived by false teaching. Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for me. Amen.
