3 Chapter 8 Second Conjugation
VERBS In English, a sentence is not complete without a verb. Same is true in Latin. Verbs are key in Latin. When translating Latin, look for the verb first. This will help you decipher the rest of the sentence. Chapter 2 Verbs, Vocabulary, and 1st Conjugation

Latin verbs contain 4 Principal Parts It is from these principal parts that all forms of a verb are created. videō, vidēre, vidī , vīsum: see videō I see 1st Person Present vidēre to see Present Infinitive or simply Infinitive vidī I saw Simple Past or just Past vīsum saw Past Participle Chapter 2 Verbs, Vocabulary, and 1st Conjugation

5 Second Conjugation Verbs – Present Tense
Person Singular Plural 1st Person habeō habēmus I have we have 2nd Person habēs habētis you have you all have 3rd Person habēt habent he – she – it has they have Chapter 2 Verbs, Vocabulary, and 1st Conjugation The First Principal Part was used for 1st Person singular. (sing.) We have. (pl) 2nd Person – The person spoken to is doing the action: You have. You all have.

14 Chapter 8 Will you ask a question?
Just like with present tense, we can add –ne to the end of the future tense verb to create a question: exercēs you train exercēsne? Do you train? or Are you training? Chapter 2 Verbs, Vocabulary, and 1st Conjugation exercēbis. You will train. exercēbisne Will you train? Nōn exercēbis. You will not train. Nōn exercēbisne? Will you not train?

There are four conjugations You can determine the conjugation by the verb’s endings – namely the Second Principal Part The Second Principal Part is used to conjugate verbs in the Present System Chapter 2 Verbs, Vocabulary, and 1st Conjugation
