Meiosis is a type of sexual reproduction involving a male (sperm cell) and female (egg cell) organism. Meiosis allows for more genetic variation (different genes and physical features).

5. Meiosis
Meiosis allows offspring to have the same number of chromosomes as their parent. (Humans 46 Chromosomes; 23 from Mom and 23 from Dad)
Meiosis explains how traits were passed on to you. This is why you have similar features of your Mother and Father.
