Many senior people live with their son’s or daughter’s family – they are actually considered to be their family members.
In Chinese law, supporting one’s parents when they get old is mandatory. But the reality is some young people don’t even have enough money to support their own family, and their parents usually feel obligated to support them – if the parents are wealthier than their children.
Many seniors enjoy taking care of their grandchildren.
