1 Bellringer 10.4Writing to Win:
Explain in writing the integer rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing

2 Perimeter Area Combining like terms

3 Properties of Numbers are helpful when simplifying numerical expressions

4 (Associative Property) of Addition
When three of more numbers are added the sum is the same no matter the order when grouped.

5 Identity Property of Addition
The product of any number and 1 is the original number. 5 x 1= 5

6 Commutative Property of Addition
When two numbers are added, the sum is the same regardless of the order of the addends. 4 + 2 = 2 + 4 6 = 6

7 Distributive Property of Addition
The sum of two numbers times a third number is equal to the sum of each addend times the third number. 4 (6 + 3) = 4 x x 3

8 Properties of Numbers are helpful when simplifying numerical expressions

9 (Associative Property) of Multiplication
When three of more numbers are multiplied the product is the same no matter the order when grouped.

10 Identity Property of Multiplication
The product of any number and zero is zero. 5 x 0 = 0

11 Commutative Property of Multiplication
When two numbers are multiplied, the product is the same regardless of the order of the factors. 4 x 2 = 2 x 4 8 = 8

12 Distributive Property of Multiplication
multiplying a sum by a number is the same as multiplying each addend by the number and then adding the products. 4 (6 + 3) = 4 x x 3

13 Zero Property of Multiplication
 any number multiplied by zero is zero 4 x 0 = 0

14 Finish State Task page 32 Question 33
I can apply the distributive property when rewriting and evaluating algebraic expressions. I can represent a value using variables? What strategies can be used for understanding and representing real situations using algebraic expressions and equations? Finish State Task page 32 Question 33
