3 Learn about Lyme Disease!
Cause: Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia Transmitted: It is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected blacklegged TICKS.

Neck Stiffness Fatigue Skin Rash Loss of Muscle Tone in one or both sides of face Bell’s Palsy Changes in heart beat Dizziness Shooting pains that interfere with sleep Pain in Joints Swelling in Joints

5 Skin Rash Lyme disease patients who are diagnosed early and receive proper antibiotic treatment usually recover rapidly and completely. A key component of early diagnosis is recognition of the characteristic Lyme disease rash called Erythema Migrans. This rash often takes a bull's-eye appearances and is observed in about 80% of Lyme disease patients. 7 Symptoms The Lyme disease bacterium can infect several parts of the body, producing different symptoms at different times. Not all patients with Lyme disease will have all symptoms. Untreated, the infection may spread to other parts of the body within a few days to weeks, producing an array of discrete symptoms

Studies of women infected during pregnancy have found that there are no negative effects on the fetus if the mother receives appropriate antibiotic treatment for her Lyme disease Intravenous Antibiotics Later Stage
