4 Italian Food Is said to be the “Food Capital of the World”
The features which best describes the food in Italy is the quality and simplicity. A few ingredients that make the food great is tomatoes, oil, bread, wine, and mozzarella. Healthiness is what makes Italian food so popular all over the world. Olive oil is used much more than butter and cream.

5 Italian Food Bruschetta is a classical traditional food and it is just bread seasoned with garlic, oil, and tomatoes. Caprese salad is made from buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil that is seasoned with salt and olive oil.

7 Place Most of Italy is mountain and very hilly with only a few areas with flat land. The Apennine Mountains forms the backbone of the peninsula of Italy. The Alps mountains form its northern boundary.

9 Climate The Northern part of Italy has hot summers and cold winters.
In the Southern part of Italy the winters are mild and the summers are long and dry. In the mountain areas such as the Alps and the Apennines have long, cold winters and short, cool summers.

A famous place for waterways is Venice. Venice has no streets and the only way of traveling is on boats.

18 Human Interaction Pollution and Population are the two main issues in Rome. The cause of the air pollution is from motorized vehicles. There is over 3,000,000 people living in Rome. Rome is the largest and most populated city in Italy.

22 Regions There are 20 different regions in Italy.
A few are: Lazio, Sicily, and Tuscany Tuscany: is the fifth largest region in Italy. Is best known for its beautiful landscape that has vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees.

23 Regions Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean. Sicily is well known as the home of one of Europe's volcanoes (Mount Etna). Lazio- is originally poor. Deprives most of its wealth from agriculture, wine production, manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and publishing. Lazio is the home to the Italian film industry.
