Aditya Sharma is the Operational Director of the Global Sustainable Operations Practice. He is a licensed Environmental Engineer with more than a decade of sustainability consulting experience.
Aditya focuses on assessing existing programs, evaluating data collection and management activities, and enhancing organizational structures and business processes to support more efficient operations, drive cost savings, and identify / mitigate operational risks.
Aditya has managed projects in more than 30 countries, including US, Canada, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Mexico, EU, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Venezuela, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Ireland, and Spain.
He has presented and provided his expertise in variety of professional forums including Universities, Banker’s Association, real estate developer’s conferences, & Military Engineering Services
Aditya holds an Master‘s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from Panjab University.
2012/13 CDP Supply Chain Report : Lead a team to analysis and research key trends based on the CDP global survey (approx. 2,000 + suppliers). Collaborated with CDP in developing customized reports and recommendations for member companies to improve their supply chain strategy.
Sustainability Strategy : Reporting to the C-suite, Led a team in conducting an as-is assessment of sustainability activities, interviewed key stakeholders (IT, procurement, legal, etc), and conducted series of workshops to define the strategy going forward.
Supply chain risk assessment (Multiple Clients) Developed a global Supply Chain evaluation process. Benchmarked supply chain management programs against current/emerging drivers/best practice. Developed supplier performance trend analysis and recommendations for driving supplier engagement and improved performance.
Market Research/Strategy Development (Private Equity/Investment sector) : Developed and managed multiple teams in US, Europe and Asia to evaluate the regulatory frame work and industrial trends of major stakeholders to assist in developing strategy on an expedited schedule. Topics included E-waste, Waste Treatment Regulatory/Technical Review, Auto Shredder Residue, and Cell phone recycling
Environmental Performance Assurance (Multiple Clients) –Developed internal audit programs and protocols, and trained client employees in audit preparation, execution, reporting and corrective action implementation. In addition, developed compliance management programs for a variety of organizations.
Product Stewardship (Automotive Sector Client) – Co-chaired the inter- department Product Stewardship Committee (legal, IT, Engineering, R&D, procurement, and sales). Developed Global Product Stewardship Strategy. Conceptualized, developed and implemented an integrated web-based REACH solution across the Supply Chain. Conducted risk/liability assessment by Product, Substance, Supplier, Division, and by region.
