3 CSIA Organization The CSIA is an organization dedicated to: Driving the professionalism of the control system integration community Improving the business skills of the executive management team of the control system integrator Providing a unique forum for education and discussion of the business, marketing and technical issues of the control system integrator Encouraging the control system integrator to the next step: becoming Certified CSIA Certification To become certified, the control system integrator must be in compliance with the CSIA’s Best Practices and Benchmarks, a series of documents that define requirements for the express purpose of raising the image of the industry through a quality management system, and pass a third-party audit. CSIA certification assures customers that the company has a good quality management system in place. –The control system integrator with an effective quality management system will typically meet customer expectations better than a control system that does not. –Many organizations require their control system integrator suppliers to be certified. CSIA certification has proven to lead companies to better operators, improved performance, improved customer service ratings and improved profitability.
