2 Christopher Columbus He was trying to look for a shorter trade route to India and found the Americas. He is given credit for discovering America even though Native Americans were already there.

4 Benjamin Franklin He is considered a Founding Father of our country because he helped to write our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. He was an inventor of many things like bifocal glasses and the Franklin stove. He proved that lightning was a form of electricity by using a kite and metal key.
