10 SQA Business Case Process
Gap in the Market! Development Opportunity Form DO1 Contact Regional Manager Many of college staff are already involved in Quals Development. Should you identify a gap in the market for the development of a new qualification eg could be generated from a new business you are working with we do have a process for alerting us to a potential gap in the market. There is a form online Development opportunity Form D01 – go to website and put in search box and you will find it. It is an ideas form, we do need to know the detail and potential market. I would also recommend that you contact your Regional Manager who can chat through initial thoughts and help research to ensure there is nothing available. If that is the case, the RM will consult with the rest of team to see if market opportunity in other areas, this is vital to us developing a qualification – albeit we do recognise niche markets. If enough interest (small – but potential for growth) we can take through out business case process.
