2 AC500 and Web Server Integrated Web Server on PLC
CP600-Web (Micro Browser) Intranet/Internet web client network AC500 integrated web server Web server application integrated into the AC500 CPU - V2.x Web visualization creation in CoDeSys V2.3.x Download and save on RAM disc of AC500 CPU Free access to web server with every web browser (no license) With the new version of PS501 a WEB server application with dynamic data can get integrated into the PLC. The access to the web server is possible with all common web browser, e.g. internet explorer. Web pages that will be shown can be created in the visualization of CoDeSys and will be downloaded together with the user program into the PLC. Screenshots, mehr Details erforderlich Wie werden Bilder generiert, wo abgelegt. Wie greife ich zu? Diese Infos sollten Bestandteil der Folie sein. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 2

3 AC500 and Web Server What are the Requirements / Actions for Function?
CPU The CPU is equipped with Ethernet and internal webserver. Firmware version: AC500 as of version (former versions are unstable) AC500 eCo as of version (former versions are unstable) CPU‘s IP-address is set. Web server is configured: in both CBP and in CoDeSys project. Visualizations are implemented. The amount of the screens depends on their memory consumption and CPU type. Common internet browser and installed Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from Sun are needed. IP-address of the web client has to be set. URL for the PLC is to be written is the URL field of the browser. 4 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CBP
IP-address in the CPU is to be set (also for default address). For details see the tutorial „First commissioning“ in the Internet. Web server is to be enabled. Number of connections (sockets) is to be defined. Number depends on CPU type and other configured Ethernet connections (Modbus TCP,…) Project © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 4

5 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CBP
Open Control Builder Plus: Choose a CPU-ETH (PM5xx-ETH) 2. Configure IP address The PS501 Control Builder Plus system provides several methods to configure the IP settings of the available Ethernet Communication Modules © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 5

6 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CBP
In Control Builder Plus: PM5xx_ETH_Onboard_Ethernet/ IP_Settings/ Extended settings e.g. 3x Web clients: Connections: (3x2)+1 = 7 Select “Web server active” Tab Extended settings provides settings for the Web server of the PM5xx-ETH Onboard Ethernet, Web server active = Enabled - Web server is enabled and available. Port = 80 (default value) range: Listen port of the web server. Connections = 2 (default value) range: (depending on CPU type) – Number of parallel connections accepted by the web server. Value =2 is necessary to switch between 2 Web pages without closed the Web browser. 2. Select “Port” number 3. Number of parallel connections (sockets) - ( 2 to 9,18 or 25). This number depends on CPU Type and other Ethernet already configured and used connections (Modbus TCP…). © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 6

7 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CoDeSys
In CoDeSys : Resources/Target Settings/Visualization Project The Web visualization must be activated in the target settings within the CoDeSys V2.3.x : Double-click on Target Settings in section Resources of CoDeSys V2.3.x to open the Target Settings window Web visualization = Enabled - Web visualization is available. The activation of this parameter is mandatory to use the web visualization. Inhibit download of visualization files = Disables - Visualization files will be downloaded. The activation of this parameter is mandatory to use the web visualization. Use 8.3 file format = Project and visualization names will be adjusted to comply with the 8.3 file format automatically. This setting is strongly recommended. 4. Select “Web visualization “ ( automatically for each build an XML file is generated and loaded into the CPU at the same time the program). 5. Unselect “Inhibit download of visualization files” option 6. The 8.3 file format must be selected 7. Pixel sizes of the Web page can be defined © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 7

8 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CBP
If The alarms and trends are used in web page of PLC, the following configurations are necessary: Double-click on Target Settings in section Resources of CoDeSys V2.3.x to open the Target Settings window Select the options Alarmhandling in the PLC and/or Store trend data in the PLC The task ALARM_TASK and TREND_TASK will be inserted automatically in the task configuration. It will process an implicitely created ST-code evaluating  the status of the particular alarms or the trend data in a ring buffer and if applicable executing the associated actions. The ST-code needs auxiliary functions of library SysLibAlarmTrend.lib. This library will be loaded automatically. (Additionally the implicitly needed libraries SysLibSockets.lib, SysLibMem.lib, SysLibTime.lib, SysLibFile.lib are loaded.) If the option is deactivated and Target visualization is activated, a compile error will be dumped. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 8

9 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CoDeSys Project (1)
1. Select Web visualization (for each screen an XML file is generated automatically and loaded into the CPU together the program ). Inside the file size viewer the size of the web server files for the RAM disk and the Flash (Boot project) are shown. 2. Unselect “Inhibit download of visualization files” option. 3. Optionally you could adapt the screen dimmensions. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 9

10 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CoDeSys Project (2)
Create a home visualization. Name it PLC_VISU to avoid further configuration steps. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 10

11 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Project: Configuration in CoDeSys Project (3)
Optionally implement further visualization screens. Uncheck the option for screens which are not to be visible in the webvisu. Compile the project. Download the project and create the boot project. Project © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 11

12 AC500 and Web Server AC500 Memory for Web Files
You can check the used memory space for the webserver files by selecting “Online/ Show file information”. Detailed information about every webserver file is given. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 12

13 AC500 and Web Server Visualization on Web Client
Open Internet Explorer. Write in the URL field: the address of your PLC /webwisu.htm. Example: The sreen PLC_VISU will be displayed. With the new version of PS501 a WEB server application with dynamic data can get integrated into the PLC. The access to the web server is possible with all common web browser, e.g. internet explorer. Web pages that will be shown can be created in the visualization of CoDeSys and will be downloaded together with the user program into the PLC. © ABB Group September 18, 2018 | Slide 13
