• First, a little background. Thrivent Builds Repairs is the latest of three programs that are part of Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity. Thrivent Builds is the volunteer and advocacy partnership we have with Habitat for Humanity International. It’s a multi-million-dollar, multi-year mission partnership, and we’re very proud of it.
• Through Thrivent Builds Homes, we help volunteers build homes with future homeowners across the country.
• Through Thrivent Builds Worldwide, we provide volunteer work trips to locations here in the U.S. and abroad.
Thrivent Builds Repairs is different. Here’s what I mean …

3. What if you needed help with home repairs?
• What if your house needed some repairs—like this house—and you didn’t have the resources—or the ability—to make them?
• How would you feel?

4. Peeling paint
• What if the paint was chipping and peeling off your house—and you needed help to repair and paint it?
• What would you do?

5. Uncaulked windows
• What if your windows needed to be weatherized—and you needed someone to caulk them?
• Where would you turn?

6. Help is needed here
• Situations like these are found in every community, including our community of (name) . Maybe they’re happening in your own neighborhood—even to someone you know.
• These are people who want to stay in their homes. They just need a little help to make their homes more comfortable and safer places to live. A coat of paint here. A few boards replaced there. A little T-L-C to spruce things up.

With Thrivent Builds Repairs, there are many ways to make a difference. You can pick a day or two and help with basic outside home repairs, like:
• Caulking windows, painting the house, building a wheelchair ramp, fixing a porch, or cleaning up the yard.
• Pick the project that fits your schedule.
• Thrivent Builds Repairs is all about joining other volunteers for basic exterior home repair projects. Short-term projects … with long-term benefits. Quite simply, it’s people helping people.
