1 The percussion march from heart to heart Making percussion instruments out of recycling materials in parpar nechmad kindergarten Parpar Nechmad class who visits the musical enrichment center in Acco, learned the children marching medley. Together with their teacher Sofi Biarsky, they marched with the medley, played it by a rhythmic score, learned about the musical beats, about the rhythm etc. For the closing ceremony of the program, the parents were invited and participated in a workshop with their children. The children collected a lot of recycling materials which helped them invent new marching percussion instruments. It is also the first time that the children and their parents took part in the musical bridge program. They were asked to write a blessing card for the children of Ohio They were also asked to write rhymes about music and children and to perform it with the musical instruments that they invented We promised the children and the parents to send pictures from the workshop to you so…. 2 The workshop subjects Getting acquainted with the musical world: percussion instruments, beats, playing in a group etc. Creativity development-creating new instrument considering our instructions Encouraging parents involvement in our educational activities The musical bridge program- giving the parents information about the project and asking them to be part of it Recycling awareness –all the products were made from recycled materials Reinforcement of parents and children relationship

3 We began the workshop with clapping welcome to Parpar Nechmad class by a rhythmic score. We used only Ta and Huss as the children know them Orly, the teachers assistant, showed the children what to play
