2. How the German Shepherd became a breed.
On April 2, 1899, von Stephanitz attended the Karlsruhe Dog Show with his friend. While he was at the show he adopted a four year old yellow and grey shepherd like dog and named it Horand von Grafrath.
On April 22, 1899, von Stephanitz and others created a club for German Shepherd Dogs, he was the co founder and first president.

3. German Shepherds are my favorite because...
German Shepherds are my favorite dog breed because they are very kind hearted dogs and they are so easy to train. For example, they are police dogs because they are such great listeners and they are able to get trained and be able to do it in a real situation. Finally, german shepherds have a beautiful fur coat and are such smart dogs.
