2 Third World Countries 1955 – Sukarno hosts meeting of 29 African and Asian against colonization in Bandung, Indonesia (Bulliet 839) Called Third World and non-aligned nations because if Russia represented one side of the world in the Cold War, and the U.S another, Third World was everyone else.
