2 What to consider when deciding what to take in Grade 10
Consider future goals when making choices for Gr. 10 Some Gr. 10 courses will be pre-requisites for Grade 11 and 12 courses. Ex. You can’t take ASM3M1 in grade 11 if you don’t have the grade 10 ASM201. The gr. 10 ASM20 is the pre- requisite for ASM3M1. Go onto our guidance page on our website and check out the course calendar which lists all of our courses You can also check out all the courses on your myBlueprint account, under High School

3 Making Your Choices – Compulsory Classes
You will need to choose the following 6 Compulsory Courses for Gr. 10: English – ENG2P (applied), ENG2D (academic), ENG2L (Locally Developed) Math – MFM2P (applied), MPM2D (academic), MAT2L (Locally Developed) Science – SNC2P (applied), SNC2D (academic), SNC2L (Locally Developed) Religion – HRE201 or hre2oa (liturgical arts) Civics and Careers – civcar History – CHC2D (academic), CHC2P (applied), CHC2L (Locally Developed)

4 How do I do this? Log into your myBlueprint account
Go to High School Planner Click on the course – the compulsory courses are shaded in Select the level Add to plan It’s that easy!

5 Gr. 10 Elective Courses You can choose 2 Elective Courses
However if you go to summer school this summer and take 1 compulsory course, ex. History, Civics and Careers, then you can choose 3 elective courses in your myBlueprint BUT HOW DO I DO THIS? If you plan on taking summer school, select the third elective in place of the compulsory course Put your Compulsory course down in the Alternates box under your Gr. 10 column when choosing your courses

6 When do I pick up a summer school form?
Summer School forms are usually in GUIDANCE by April 2018! If they are in earlier, we will make an announcement and send out a tweet! Stay tuned!

11 Atc2o1 Course Description:
In this course students will develop their dance skills and learn the theoretical basis of movement of a variety of dance forms. Students will learn the process of dance creation; the historical development of dance and an appreciation of dance through rehearsal, and performance. Each unit, activity, and choreographed piece is intended to provide the student with an expressive outlet to help them reach their potential as members of the Catholic faith community.

13 Remember… You must have completed an ART credit by the end of Grade 10. If you do NOT have an Art credit on your timetable this year, BE SURE TO PICK ONE OF OUR ART ELECTIVES FOR NEXT YEAR! This is a GRADUATION REQUIREMENT!

14 What you need to do: Log onto myBlueprint – select your courses
Guidance will be in foyer – p.3abc from Feb come see us if you have any questions. Appointments will not be available. Feb 14 – portal opens – submit registration and pay Print myblueprint sign off sheet – make sure your parent signs it with school cash on line receipt number February 20 – hand in sheets period 1 to homeroom teacher

15 If you make a mistake… Do not panic
You will get a course verification sheet in april and you may request changes then
